First graders in Mrs. Thompson's class participated in a collaborative art project with middle and high school art students. First graders drew a monster, middle school students added a background, then the high school studio art class created a stuffed monster based on the design. Ms. Shelby T's class is deep into the insect study. They used clay and plastic insects to make bug fossils! Using their scientific inquiry skills, they discussed the different types of fossils and tools used to examine them. Next they will wait for them to dry and paint!
